Karsyn Bartruff, MHC-I
Karsyn Bartruff is an advanced clinical intern with Dwellness who is driven by a deep passion for understanding and assisting individuals in navigating the intricacies of the human experience. As a mental health counselor in training, she strives to guide individuals through transformative journeys of self discovery, resilience building, and personal growth. Inspired by her previous experience working in the non-profit space assisting and supporting families who have lost loved ones to addiction, she sought additional training to gain clinical skills to treat the spectrum of issues that individuals across the lifespan face.
Karsyn approaches clinical work with individuals across the lifespan from a person-centered, holistic perspective and applies cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and a solutions focus when needed; however, she creates individualized treatment approaches based on the needs of the clients with whom she works. Karsyn believes in the transformative power of collaboration between client and therapist and she works to create a warm, trusting, and non-judgmental relationship with all of her clients. Karsyn particularly connects well with adolescents and finds inspiration in guiding young adults to seek growth within themselves and to connect with the desire for positive change in their lives.
