Cyd Taylor, MSW-I
Cyd (she/her) is an advanced clinical trainee with Dwellness In-Home Psychological Services. She concentrates on supporting individuals across the lifespan in working through a range of challenges, with a particular interest in supporting individuals struggling with trauma, loss, and grief. Utilizing person-centered and skills-based approaches, she helps clients build the capacity to successfully heal from past traumas, manage routine and often difficult life circumstances, and build a life in accordance with their own values. She harnesses her own experience navigating grief and loss, along with her extensive study of trauma-informed approaches to psychotherapy, to foster a non-judgmental environment where clients can be vulnerable, take risks, and demonstrate agency in their healing and growth. Cyd guides her clients in harnessing their somatic, cognitive, and emotional experiences in the service of developing a more aware, purposeful and joy-filled existence.
Cyd is currently completing a Master of Social Work program at Roberts Wesleyan University. She previously earned both a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts and a Master’s of Fine Arts. In her prior professional life, Cyd worked in the field of residential construction, helping her clients bring together ambitious renovation and restoration projects in the challenging physical environment of New York City. Here she learned that cultivating trusting and supportive partnerships is the critical foundation of any collaborative and constructive work. She brings this collaborative spirit to the deep inquiry she embarks on with each client.
