Anna Levy-Warren, PhD

Dr. Anna Levy-Warren (she/her/hers) received her PhD in clinical psychology from City University of New York after graduating from Princeton University. She began her clinical work twenty years ago helping children and adolescents struggling with significant psychiatric difficulties and continued at McLean Hospital running Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) groups for women with PTSD and Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). Later at Boston Children’s Hospital Anna was part of a team researching chronic physical illness and depression in adolescents. She has contributed to academic and clinical research featured in the Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, Journal of the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, Journal of Infant Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, and the Archives of Sexual Behavior.

Anna has trained in motivational interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), DBT, psychodynamic psychotherapy, neurocognitive assessment, Prevention and Relationship Education Program (PREP) and treating individuals, couples, groups, and families. A believer in the importance of an eclectic approach, Anna uses both concrete behavioral strategies and insight-oriented psychotherapy to help her clients. She supervises clinicians and serves as a panelist and speaker for functions in the field.

In 2005 Anna founded Organizational Tutors, a network, which under her leadership has grown to include an extensive team of highly-trained and experienced tutors, academic coaches, educators, and learning specialists who help students of all ages with executive functioning difficulties and other complex learning profiles.

In 2017 Anna and co-founder Chelsey Saunders launched Levy-Warren & Saunders, now doing business as STEEL Advising, to help adults, companies, and educators optimize their Strategic Thinking, Efficient & Effective Leadership.

Anna gives PTA talks at local public schools and directs an after-school program to strengthen executive functions for elementary school students. Her personal experience with in-home support for and from friends and family inspires her work supporting other members of the community in their dwellings.
